Supporters

To reach broader audiences you have to communicate your vision clearly and concisely in a way that makes them want to take action for your cause and support. Using Facebook “as your page” (click the option at the top right when you are viewing the page as an admin) allows you to see new “likes” as if they were friend requests. If you’re growing at a small rate then it’s still possible to follow up with all your page’s new likes!
https://www.facebook.com/LEXPHOTOGRAPHY555  is Alexander's main site but also has other links where you can check out his work such as these below

Having good quality and great looking lingerie for a boudoir shoot is paramount. Remember, you are paying money to be photographed in your underwear, so why would you want to wear something less than spectacular?
Old lingerie that's been sitting in the bottom of your drawer and cheap looking lingerie are exactly that. Old and cheap.
Is that the look you going for in you photos? I didn't think so. Invest in some new lingerie that will make you look and feel sexy. Here is a great online shop I found that sells amazing corsets, sexy lingerie, and shoes perfect for your boudoir photo shoot. Best of all, their prices are amazingly low!!
Will you lose sleep at night and wonder if you should go through with your shoot. My suggestion, just relax. It's not your job to know how to pose.
Posing is an important part of photography and a skilled photographer will know how to move and shape your body to make you look amazing. The photographer may put you into a pose that feels a bit awkward and uncomfortable, but you best believe it will look great.

Leave all of your worries at the door. Sure, this may be your first lingerie photo shoot and being a little nervous is expected. Just remember that whatever you are thinking about will show on you face.
When flipping through the pages of Vogue or any other fashion magazine you will notice that the models look amazing. Their and makeup are perfect. That's because behind the scenes they are getting made over by professional make up artists and hair stylists.
I recommend to any woman interested in doing a glamour or boudoir shoot to get their hair and makeup done by a pro. Lingerie shoot by LEXPHOTOGRAPHY© On couch.
Beautiful pose for the model lying on the ground. Upper body should be slightly lifted and the model looking back over her shoulder. Works well with all body types. Try different angles and look for the best position by moving gradually around the model. - See more at: http://digital-photography-school.com/posing-guide-21-sample-poses-to-get-you-started-with-glamour-photography#sthash.lxhmggzf.dpuf

Do it with a passion

Alexander is not only a photographer but is aslo a graphic designer who’s got one of those inspiring skills we can all learn something from. How to turn passion into profit and keep on enjoying what you love to do.We love Lex's art and recently bought a bunch of his social media posters to spruce up our office and home. Lately there has been a huge buzz & demands for LEX PHOTOGRAPHY/DESIGN and since and I couldn’t help but ask Alexander  how he does it (and beg him to keep on doing it!)

I have a pretty big imagination and I’m constantly thinking of something new to create. I feed off everything from Social media, Digital Media , different cultures , movies , t.v lets just say ideas are everywhere. Sometimes when I have an idea I do a sketch. There is also times when I just sit down with the idea and turn out a final product. I tend to have a terrible memory, so some of my ideas can get lost if I don’t finish them off quickly. Maybe I should write things down… lol.

You get the very cool art of Alexander Ruiz /Lex Photography , a digital artist who knows a thing or two about creativity and getting to the heart of what people love. Since majoring in Digital Media Arts I started to see the world differently from that point on, using my surroundings as inspiration and appreciating the little things in life. Alexander Ruiz has a lot going on! Here are some quick links to my various projects. Take a look around and don't be shy..

Short Bio.

http://500px.com/LexPhotography

Alexander Ruiz also known as Lex was born and raised in New York City, based on the Lower East Side. Photography has always been a part of his life. Lex always liked taking pictures as a child. Intrigued by the fact a photograph can capture any moment in time and preserve it for years is amazing to him. “It’s almost like going back in time, only with vivid images to remember.” As Lex got older he started to play with cameras and discovered something he was good at, so it soon became his passion.

Alexander has worked and traveled around the world including spending 7 years in New Zealand. Throughout his life he has worn many hats in the fields of construction, retail, catering, acting and of course nothing has captured him like photography and design. He loves to work outside and at locations that may be outside of a standard comfort zone. As a photographer Lex plans to set goals throughout this journey and that is to set himself up in a way where he can be working with in fields such as acting and theater, dance, erotic, fashion, fetish, modeling, fitness, hair and makeup, lifestyle, lingerie, pregnancy, promotional, runway, swimwear, underwater. Lex is in no way limiting himself or his skills.
Lex has been inspired mostly by Quentin Shih and Kall Gustafsson. He prides himself in having a similar style to Kall Gustasson but of course with his own unique artistic twist.

“Photography and design means the world to me. I won’t let anything or anyone get in the way of my work and passion. I prefer to work on things that are going to get me where I want to be in life with a positive path towards my career. When working with photography I am open to anything ...

How Much To Charge

Mario Lopez
You should charge by the event. It does not make sense to charge by the hour or by the amount of time spent post processing.

Here is why. Lets say you charge $100 per hour. You shoot for 8 hours at the event and spend 12 hours in photo/shop, producing 300 lovely photos for your client. You charge them for 20 hours or $2000. That works out to $6.50 per image.

Now lets say that I, being more experienced charge $200 per hour. But in the same 8 hour event I produce 600 images. Also being more experienced, I get through the post processing in 8 hours instead of 12. I end up charging $200 times 16 hours or 3200. However, that works out to about $5 per photo.

On the surface, it seems like a charge more, but in reality, I am charging 20% less than you are per photo produced.

This is why it is bad to charge per hour. As you get better and faster you end up making less per image than you did when you started.

That is why it is best to just charge a flat rate per event.

You should not take photos of people if:
  • they are in a place where they would expect reasonable privacy, and publication would be highly offensive to an objective and reasonable person
  • it has potential to stop other people's use and enjoyment of the same place
  • you have no legitimate reason for taking the film or photos.
  • Never to try to steal LEXPHOTOGRAPHY'S work! More post coming soonish :) 3/9/2012
