Ask New Yorkers their feelings about the subways, and some will talk about the dirt and grind or the crowded cars or the increasing fares and declining service. Others might describe the vermin that run the tracks and sometimes the platforms. But, thanks to Lex photography and the MTA’s Arts for Transit, many will also praise the system’s underground photo's & melodies. This band here rocks right in front of 42st times square shuttle, so you will be hearing jazz & blue's while on your way to work or wherever!.... Then at night
when ridding the subway, make sure you'll stay by Off-Peak Waiting Area, where Conductor's car will be the best place to be. If you live by (G) train, make sure you'll be on front car where engineer can see you.
For safety reason:
1. Put your backpacks and bags in front of you.
2. Do not fall asleep.
3. Never flash anything valuable.4. Try not to be to drunk!
5. Just be safe and very aware !
Actually you don't really have to worry we live in a safe city :)
There are closed-circuit television cameras in Off-Hours Waiting Areas that are not in sight of the Station Agent. The camera enables the station agent to see you on the platform if you use the talk-back box.
Did you know the New York City Subway System is the largest subway system in the world. With 468 train stations & 26 subway lines and I just found out to day through more research , It's amazing I learn something new everyday! LoL
